Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Maurer, and I just finished my second year at Texas State University studying mass communication. The School of Journalism and Mass Communication has opened many opportunities for me to explore my passions and build a portfolio when it comes to writing and digital media. I’m so excited for the content I’ll be able to produce in Japan!
This is my first time leaving the country, and there are so many activities in Japan that I’m looking forward to from visiting the Tokyo bureau office of The Wall Street Journal to seeing the variety of themed cafes in Tokyo.
I know that the photo and video projects I’ll create will serve me a life time of memories to look back on and cherish. I’ve always dreamed of visiting Japan, and I’m ecstatic to be getting that experience on this trip!
