My name is Cade Gulley, and I’m a sophomore at Texas State University, majoring in electronic media. I’m from Plano, Texas, though I’ve had homes all over the world thanks to traveling. In the past, I lived in the Philippines and Malaysia for three years each, spending a total of six years overseas. Some of my greatest memories are the places I’ve traveled to around the world, such as Thailand, the Maldives, Egypt and Dubai.
Traveling plays a huge role in my life, and I’m very excited to get the chance to travel to one of the countries I’ve always wanted to visit. I’m also looking forward to developing new skills in the feature writing and mobile storytelling classes I’m taking in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication’s study abroad program in Japan.
I’ve always been interested in both Japan and content creation, so the opportunity to experience both simultaneously excites me for the adventures ahead. I plan to enhance my skills in video editing, social media content and writing to reach my ultimate goal of producing my own professional content in the future.
