Hi! My name is James Klingele, and I’m a junior in the digital media innovation program at Texas State University. I’m looking forward to learning about Japan firsthand and getting to document my experiences there. It’ll be my first time traveling internationally, so I’m really excited to get out and experience some new things!
Background
I’m 24 years old, and I was born in Dallas, Texas. When I was 7, my family moved to Houston, Texas, and I spent the next 16 years there. I spent some time in community college and working, and moved to San Marcos in the fall of 2022 to attend Texas State University. As a digital media innovation major, I’m interested in all kinds of media and media production. I’m looking forward to visiting media companies in Japan and learning how they work. I’m also a big history buff, so I’m really looking forward to visiting different shrines and the Kyoto Imperial Palace.
