We are thrilled to announce the new group of students in the Faculty-led Education Abroad Program to Japan in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University!
In this, the fifth SJMC Japan program, we have the largest group ever with 24 undergraduate students led by Academic Program Director Gilbert D. Martinez with Assistant Professor Sara Shields and Program Assistant Erika Costello.
The group met in person for the first time last week for the first of two orientation meetings to began preparations for the program and trip to Japan.

The group will meet again next month for a second orientation meeting and then have in-person classes at the beginning of the first summer session before departing for the 13-day program in Japan.
