These are some of my favorite shots that I captured during our stay in Tokyo. There were many things to see, so I tried to include a little bit of everything in the mix. Tokyo is a vibrant city that never fails to exceed expectations!
Tokyo has many skyscrapers. Nearly anywhere in the city can make you feel like you are right in the center.

These sake barrels have many designs on them for decorations around shrines. They are not full, but still carry significance.
Chankonabe is a traditional Japanese meal eaten by sumo wrestlers in their training. Once you eat all of the food in the hot pot, they bring out noodles to put in the broth.
It is a part of Japanese culture to be a great host. Everyone was happy to give us a warm welcome in Tokyo.
There are many temples and shrines located all around Japan. You can even see a skyscraper through the fog at Meiji Shrine.
Shinjuku was what you might expect of Tokyo at night. Bright lights and neon were everywhere and a sea of people to go along with it. The energy was undeniable.
This is Nissan’s 2020 concept car. Technology is a huge part of Japan, and a car like this helps represent the amount of innovation that is present in their society.
There were many bodies of water that reached into the city. This picture was taken close to Akihabara, one of the most lively districts in Tokyo!
Enoshima is sometimes referred to as the Hawai’i of Japan. Locals were enjoying jet skis, ice cream, and the beautiful view of the ocean.
