Hello everyone! My name is Aidan Fitzpatrick, and I am a rising senior at Texas State University majoring in digital media innovation with a minor in art. Currently, I live in Kyle, Texas, but I actually grew up in New York.
Visiting Japan has been something I have wanted to do for as long as I can remember. This is because I love the cuisine, architecture, anime and video games that are from the country. I have been out of the United States before, having traveled to England to visit some family, but this is my first time traveling as part of a program. When I heard that the department that I major in was doing a study abroad in Japan this summer, I applied with no hesitation because I knew I wanted to have this experience and live it to the fullest.
I am very excited to travel to a country I’ve been looking forward to visiting along with some new friends very soon and checking out all the beautiful sights while also strengthening my writing and social media skills! The thing I most want to do when I get to Japan is to check out and walk around Akihabara Electric Town. I am a huge nerd who enjoys playing video games and watching anime, so I would like to check out a lot of the different stores and game centers within that area.
