This is my senior year at Texas State University, studying mass communication and electronic media. My hometown is Burleson, Texas, just fifteen minutes from downtown Fort Worth, where I studied at Tarrant County College. I’ve lived in San Marcos for two years now, and plan on graduating in Spring 2020. I am the oldest of four siblings, my brother and two sisters attend Sam Houston State University.
A few of my biggest passions are music and film. My goal is to eventually help direct music videos or design stage production for live music events. I strive to inspire and amaze people with captivating storytelling accompanied with visual and audio production. I’m only just getting started, but you can check out some of my work here: https://michaelsouthall.weebly.com/
I’ve always wanted to visit Japan, and so naturally, I signed up for the study abroad trip as soon as I heard about it. I’m very excited to walk through the serene nature, eat some delicious authentic food and talk to the many different people of Tokyo and Kyoto. I have been fascinated with Japanese culture for as long as I can remember, so I’m expecting this to be a trip of a lifetime.
