This statue is 9 meters tall and has 11 heads. These are the trees over looking Hasedera. Although the sun was out in full force this day, these guys kept us shaded and cool. Part of the hydrangea path that lead to the top of the hill. Hydrangeas tend to start blooming from June to mid-July. One of the many deities that are worshipped at Hasedera. The main deity is Kannon, who is featured in the main building but no pictures are allowed. At the top of the hydrangea path, you can over look the seaside town of Kamakura. This is part of the bamboo section at Hasedera. Bamboo are actually the fastest growing plant, no wonder these were so tall.
