Hello! My name is Trinity Eilert, and I’m a senior at Texas State University. I’m majoring in digital media innovation with a minor in popular culture! My hometown is La Grange, Texas, which is about an hour and a half from San Marcos.
I switched my major many times throughout my college career, and now DMI has my heart. I’ve learned a great deal through the program, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it thus far. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to study abroad in Japan with Texas State’s SJMC Japan program. I’ve always dreamt about traveling and studying abroad. I am a first-generation college student, so this all feels surreal!
Japan is one of my “dream countries,” destinations that I must visit before I die. You could call it a bucket list of sorts. That said, I’ve always been drawn to Japanese culture since I was young. I’m so excited to experience all that Japan has to offer. I’m absolutely thrilled to document it all as well, because I’ll not only gain vital experience that I can use for my professional portfolio, but I’ll also earn course credits!
