My name is India Sherman and I am majoring in Mass Communication Electronic Media. I am a first-generation college student from Houston, Texas. I have always had a passion to write and journal throughout my life. Not only that, but I enjoy going on random adventures with family and friends to document for myself and this trip is just perfect for that. I love to dance and have a good time, no matter what. I am also an extremely loving, happy, and bubbly person. I hang around people that will uplift me in every aspect of my life because who has time for people to drag you down?
This is my first study abroad trip and my first trip outside of the country. I am super excited to travel to Japan and experience all it has to offer. I want to dive deep into the culture of Japan. I’m looking forward to share my memories with friends and family in hopes they will someday travel with Japan as well.
I chose this program based off the classes. I know I need to improve my writing skills for my future job and I thought this program would be best fit for that. I will not only be able to improve my writing skills, but I will be able to explore Japan and learn about the food, people, and historical places there, which is one of the most amazing things I have been apart of in my 20 years of living.
