Hello! My name is Kendall Casanova, I am a senior at Texas State University with a major in public relations and minor in media studies. My hometown is in South Texas in a small town called Floresville. My career goal is to be a social media manager, so this experience abroad will be perfect for me to learn and grow in my content creation goals!
This will be my first time traveling overseas. Although I am nervous, I am so excited for this new experience! Going to Japan was on top of my bucket list, as well as studying abroad. I always knew this was something I wanted to do, but it felt impossible at times. It feels so great to be able to say I will finally be studying abroad, as well as going to a place I have dreamed about since I was a kid.
I am looking forward to so much on this trip! Immersing myself in the culture, seeing many new things and building great friendships with my fellow students. I will also be extending my trip; my sister is joining me at the end of our program, and I am so excited to experience Japan with her! Besides all the fun, my goal is to create well thought-out social media posts that build my portfolio, as well as expand my knowledge in PR writing by producing well-written blog posts.
