Hey, my name is Stefan Chupp, and I am thrilled to have such a great opportunity to be a part of SJMC Japan 2025! I am from San Antonio. I am a senior at Texas State University, and I am currently studying digital media innovation with a minor in computer science.
Most of the things I like to do currently revolve around physical media, such as building my CD, vinyl and VHS collection. I also have other hobbies such as playing games with friends, thrifting antiques and decking out my room. I have traveled before to places like New York City and Italy, but I have never been as excited as I am for Japan.
For as long as I can remember, I have always found Japan to be unique in its culture and way of life that no other country has to offer. Many times, I have considered planning a trip to Japan, but ideas never made it past the group chat. So when I found out about SJMC Japan 2025, I knew I couldn’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Throughout this journey, I am ready to make the most out of this experience. I aspire to create stories to bring everyone along and I can’t wait to capture the significance Japan holds for students in this trip each year.
