Hello, my name is Camren Nichols, and I am a junior at Texas State University majoring in electronic media with a minor in studies of popular culture. My hometown is located in Southeast Texas in a small town called Nederland. My career goal is to become a communications director for a sports organization, hopefully in the National Hockey League or Professional Women’s Hockey League.
I am incredibly thrilled to be able to join this trip because this will be my first time going overseas. I look forward to learning about Japan’s vast culture and getting the opportunity to visit three major cities. Getting to study abroad is something I have always dreamed of, so now getting the chance to visit a new place makes me both excited and nervous.
I can’t wait to experience new foods, sights and cultures outside of what I know. Many of the places we will visit all sound exciting, but I am most excited to ride the bullet train, the shinkansen, for the first time.
