Nice to Meet Y’all!

If you’re here reading this, that means you’re either interested in the SJMC Japan trip, want to know more about me personally, or both! Well I’m thrilled you’re here and I hope you stick around to see what crazy adventures my classmates and I get into while abroad in Japan.

Who Are You?

Look at how Kawaii (cute) she is πŸ’œ

I come from a small, central Texas town called Gatesville which happens to be the home of one of the last original Drive In’s! I’m a total cat lover and love spending time taking pictures and videos of my baby Gizmo. I also love to watch JVloggers (Japan Vloggers) on YouTube and see what amazing things I can look forward to when I move there.

What Am I Studying?

I am currently a junior at Texas State University and I’m set to graduate early in Fall 2020. I am getting my major in public relations and mass communication with specifications in multimedia and a minor in theatre; phew, that’s a mouth full!

Why the SJMC Japan Trip?

This trip will be very beneficial to my future career because I plan on moving to Japan to live and work once I graduate. I hope to get into the JET Program where I will be able to teach English in schools while becoming fluent in the language. Once fluent, I want to get a job working with an entertainment/marketing industry in Japan where I’ll be able to put all my PR skills to use to bring engaging and informative content about Japan to the world.

What Will You be Writing About?

I will have the privilege of getting to tell y’all all about our very last day together and the farewell dinner we will have that night before we all head back to Texas. I will also be co-editing a post about the nature found in Tokyo so look out for that as well!

Follow My Adventure This Summer!

I will be staying in Japan for another month and a half after this program ends so follow me on Instagram –– __deanna_rose__ –– to see what other adventures I have while exploring on my own!

Here are some photos from when I went to Japan for the first time back in 2016 ☺️
