Hello, everyone! My name is Jackson Grettler, but I go by Jack. I’m currently a senior majoring in journalism with a minor in sports media.
I was born in Connecticut but have lived in Texas since I was one. I love sports, specifically baseball, football and basketball. I also love sightseeing and exploring, which is another big reason I wanted to go on this trip.
I’ve always wanted to go to Japan because I love the culture and have heard it’s absolutely beautiful. I definitely want to shop in Tokyo and check out all the cool Pokémon-related stuff the city has to offer. I also love history and have always wanted to see some of Japan’s historic landmarks and buildings in Kyoto and Hiroshima.
I’m excited to blog about all my experiences in Japan since I want to be a journalist and feel this is a great opportunity to gain crucial skills that will help me become a better writer and content creator. I’m looking forward to getting to know my classmates during this trip.
